Union Bank of India's net profit jumped 60% in December quarter
The bank said that its interest income in the quarter under review stood at Rs 25,363 crore, which was Rs 20,883 crore in the same quarter of the last financial year.
Public sector Union Bank of India's net profit jumped 60 per cent to Rs 3,590 crore in the third quarter of the current financial year (October-December, 2023). The net profit of the bank in the same quarter of the last financial year was Rs 2,249 crore.
Union Bank of India (UBI) informed the stock market that its total income in the quarter under review was Rs 29,137 crore, which was Rs 24,154 crore in the same quarter of the last financial year. The bank said that its interest income in the quarter under review stood at Rs 25,363 crore, which was Rs 20,883 crore in the same quarter of the last financial year.
The bank's gross non-performing assets (NPA) ratio improved to 4.83 per cent as on December 31, 2023, from 7.93 per cent in the same quarter last year. Similarly, net NPA also declined to 1.08 percent from 2.14 percent at the end of December, 2022.
